NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment) is a grassroots non-profit organisation committed to empower marginalized and vulnerable communities in Odisha and Jharkhand.

Since 2001, NYDHEE has been working with women, youth, migrants, and the ultra-poor families by promoting resilient livelihoods, gender justice, and social equity to build a more dignified, inclusive, and sustainable society.

I am Paresh Majhi from Malibahal village of Dangarpada gram panchayat under Muribahal block in Balangir district. Earlier I was migrating to other states for searching livelihoods. But due to exploitation of contractor, I returned to my village and worked as construction worker. Gradually I became a mason. But I did not have equipment require for mason. It was difficult to purchase the equipment as cost high. During the survey by NYDHEE for PHF supported project I was included. With the financial support from the project, I was able to purchase mason equipment like masonry saw, margin trowel, chisel, leveler, measurement tape etc. Now, I am earning Rs. 400/- to Rs. 500/- per day. I am thankful to NYDHEE for its dedicated work.

I am Ms. Kumari Majhi of Malibahal village under Dangarpada gram panchayat in Muribahal block, Balangir district. I am from a poor family. I joined PHF supported project in the year 2021 when there was a survey on ultra poor and migration. With the support of NYDHEE, I am able to start a small grocery shop in my village. With that shop I am able to increase my income and ensuring my livelihoods. I am grateful to NYDHEE.

NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment) is a renowned voluntary organization working in 9 gram panchayats of Muribahal block in Balangir district for holistic development of poor people. It has supported poor households to get their entitlements under various government welfare programmes and schemes. It also supports smooth implementation of MGNREGA programme in Muribahal block. Its functionaries collaborate with Gram Rozgar Sevak and Sarpanch at village level for executing MGNREGA activities.

NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment) is a voluntary organization working in 9 gram panchayats of Muribahal block in Balangir district on women empowerment, health, education, environment, migration, youth development and safe drinking water in under MPowered project and with the support of Paul Hamlyn Foundation. This organization has been working for all round development of vulnerable women with enhancement of their income though improved goat rearing, backyard poultry farming, promotion of micro enterprise and small busine, and use of mobile services. Through women self help groups, NYDHEE tries to develop the skill of women by providing various types of training and exposure. It encourages women farmers for goat farming, improved goat shed with raise bed, azolla and forage cultivation and preparation of mineral cake. NYDHEE also encourages and supports for kitchen and nutrition garden to improve the health condition of children and women. It always tries how women will be included in self help groups, save regularly and get benefit from government welfare and social security schemes.

NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment) is a voluntary organization, at present working in Bangiriposhi block. Through the goat and poultry farming this organization helps to improve the economic condition of poor women farmers. NYDHEE through the women self help groups has taken several initiatives to build the capacity of vulnerable women. Through the support of this organization, goat and poultry are getting regular vaccination and deworming. It supports for construction of improved raise bed goat shed. It encourages farmers for forage, fodder and azolla cultivation and preparation of mineral cake. It supports for improved goat farming. NYDHEE has promoted Dwarasuni Farmers Producer Company Ltd to increase the income of women farmers. It supports selling goat and poultry in fair price. It also encourages and supports for preparation of nutrition and kitchen garden to improve the health condition of women, children and their family members. NYDHEE always efforts how women will save their money in women self help group and get benefits of government welfare and social security schemes.

NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment), an ideal voluntary orgnsisation has been working in Bangriposhi block since 20215. This organization has been working for the economic development of poor women through goat rearing, backyard poultry farming and kitchen garden. Through women self help group, it has been providing training on improved goat rearing and backyard poultry farming. Besides, it has been organising vaccination and deworming camp for goat and poultry in every village. For proper caring of goat, it has awakened people for improve goat shed with raise bed, azolla cultivation and preparation of mineral cake in every household. Again, for selling goat NYDHEE formed a farmers producer company and through this company women are selling their goat and poultry in fair price with proper weight. Along with this, it has been facilitating to include more women with various welfare schemes of government. For this, I extend my heartfelt thanks to NYDHEE and wish this programme continue forever.

NYDHEE (Network for Youth Development and Healthy Environment) is premier voluntary organization. Now it is working in Bangiriposhi block. It has been working for holistic development of vulnerable people along with enhancing their economic development by improved goat rearing and backyard poultry farming. This organization tries to enhance the skill of women by providing training and exposure through women self help group. This organization systematically arranged vaccination and deworming of goat and poultry at farmer’s house and village. NYDHEE has been encouraging women farmers for goat farming, construction of improved goat shed with raise bed, forage, fodder and azolla cultivation and preparation mineral cake.
